Type is Intercontinental Cup champion

Britain's Chris Type won silver at Park City to become the overall Intercontinental Cup champion for 2009/10.

Type’s silver medal behind John Daly of the USA gave him the overall Intercontinental Cup crown following a season that has also seen him take two gelds and two bronzes in the eight race series. Type stepped up from finishing second overall in the 2008/9 season.

Ant Sawyer finished just outside the medals in Park City in fourth, for fourth overall, while Dave Swift finished sixth in Park City.

In the women’s Intercontinental Cup race, Sarah Sydney (GBR) achieved the best result of her career, finishing seventh.
