Pre-season training is carried out at the BOA’s winter sports facility at Lofer, Austria in September and at an Ice Camp in Lillehammer, Norway in October.

British Skeleton is co-located with Team Bath at the University of Bath, which offers some of the best training and coaching facilities in the UK.

A new push start track was opened in January 2002, thanks to VT Aerospace and Lottery Funding, which provides athletes with the opportunity to practise under near ideal conditions – short of pushing on ice – and this provides an ideal venue for staging an International competition under a sponsor’s banner.
