European Championship Silver for Bromley

There was more success for British bob skeleton sliders on the international circuit at the weekend following Shelley Rudman's gold-medal winning performance at the European Championships.

Her partner, Kristan Bromley, followed that up by taking silver at the men's European Championships on Saturday, also held at St Moritz in Switzerland. He finished 0.29 seconds over two runs behind Germany's Frank Rommel at the event, which also doubled as the fifth round of the 2008/9 World Cup.

Andy Wood came 11th in the World Cup, which made him seventh in Europe. Ant Sawyer was 21st in the World Cup.

Bromley is now eighth overall in the World Cup series, with Sawyer 13th, Adam Pengilly 19th and Andy Wood 28th. Three of the eight rounds of the competition remain.
